After more than two weeks in the hospital, the famous South African singer Zahara known in Hits like “Loliwe” passed away on her 36 years old due to Illiness after she has been struggling in the hospitals.
Singer Bulelwa Mkutukana, popularly known as Zahara in music, from South Africa who was one of the greatest talents in singing and playing guitar, passed away after four years without performing in Rwanda.
After over the two weeks battling the complications, The South African Famous Singer Bulelwa Mkutukana Known as Zahara reportedly Died at a private Hospital in Johannesburg this last Monday and it is said she was with her Fiance Mpho Xaba by her side.
Various local newspapers in South Africa reported that the singer passed out after being taken ill, and was taken to the hospital where she later died, South Africa’s Minister of Arts and Culture, Zizi Kodwa, also confirmed the artist’s death.
This week an angry Fiance Xaba told the hospital Management and doctors who were in charge of treating Zahara that only himself will visit her, and claiming her family wants to control everything yet they won’t pay for her hospital bills.
In addition, Zahara family has been banned from visiting her after he overheard them discussing unsettling money issues, Yet they won’t pay for urgent medical procedures that need to be done to save her alive. Mpho put his foot down and said he’s Zahara husband so he has a full control too, the source said.
Others, including journalist Khanyi Magubane and well-known DJ Black Coffee, expressed their shock over the woman’s death, Zahara was last in Rwanda in 2019 after marrying in 2018. The 36-year-old singer was the sixth in a family of seven children.
Zahara was born in the poor area of Phumlani in the town of East London in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa. He started showing his singing talent when he was only six years old but his entrance became public in 2011.
Most of Zahara’s songs are written in the Xhosa language spoken in South Africa and Zimbabwe although it is not widely spoken there.
Zahara was Popular known in the different Hit songs like Her “Loliwe, Phendula, Impilo, Destiny, Imali” and so many others that really attached people’s hearts due to the inner message in them that really inpired many people and helped them to fight for themselves.
