Move Africa: Unforgettable Concert at BK Arena Kigali, Ironic Moments you can’t miss in Kendrick Lamar’s Show. {Photos}

On the night of the 6th of November 2023, a historic concert called ‘Move Afrika’ was held in Kigali Arena, attended by President Paul Kagame and Madam Jeannette Kagame, and the famous Rapper Kendrick Lamar was invited, who passed through the audience.

It is a show organized by the Global Citizen organization in collaboration with the pgLang Institute founded by Kendrick Lamar, in a project called ‘Move Afrika: A Global Citizen Experience’, These “Move Afrika: Rwanda” concerts are the first to be held in Kigali, and Rwanda has been assigned to host these concerts for the next five years, which means that they will be held until 2028.

It is a show that was expected by many, especially since it was announced that many people were surprised by the performance of Kendrick Lamar, who is one of the best rappers in the world. This is also confirmed by the fact that the tickets for the concert went on sale before the event.

President Kagame and First Lady Jeannette Kagame joined thousands of fans at the BK Arena for the debut Move Afrika Rwanda, the opening event of a first-of-its-kind music tour across Africa with a performance by Kendrick Lamar, an American rapper and songwriter.

The highly anticipated Kendrick hit the dance floor singing some of his old songs mixed with new ones including Swimming pools, DNA, We gon be alright, Damn, Loyalty, bitch don’t kill my vibe, love and more.

After 10 minutes of waiting for Kendrick to come out on the dance floor, his dancers in white and black came first. Each was white and black from the black clothes he himself was wearing, a black cloth with a map of Africa in white with Kendrick’s hometown of Campton written on it.

Even though the entrance tickets to this concert were very expensive, where the tickets cost 50,000 Frw, while there are others for 85,000 Frw and 100,000 Frw, it did not stop music lovers from buying them.

The audience sang one song after another as the rapper followed, The music providers were nowhere to be seen on the dance floor and provided the heavy drums that Lamar sang to. The video that was shown in the BK Arena showing the artist on the dance floor was the same as the video clip, Kendrick Lamar started singing at 4:00 p.m. and finished at 20:00 p.m.

As the artist left the dance floor, there were different people passing messages about good health, environmental protection, equality and job opportunities.
