Israel Mbonyi is one of Rwandan gospel music artists doing worship and praise songs, He is most famous in the country of Rwanda ,he is a strong musician in music industry here in Rwanda and he’s among most loved musician and with a strong name in the gospel music industry.
In April in year 2021,it was said that Israel Mbonyi had to do a tour in Israel in the theme which said that “Twende Jerusalem”(let’s go Jerusalem) which meant to rise the friend ship between both countries and to develope the out the youth talents and the music industry.
The tour didn’t take place because of the pendamic COVID -19, But in short it is said that this muscian started doing music when he was still a student in India, and that his songs were known in the way he didn’t know depending on that he was still a student and all that he was focusing on was learning.
So his songs became popular because he arrived in Rwanda as superstar and were loved. Remember first time you heard his songs he was unknown artist, After becoming very famous, he became popular in different countries including ours. Here, this artist has been traveling around the world where people have invited him to perform.
On June 26, 2023, he released a song called “Nina Siri” which is his most viewed song because it was viewed by more than twenty million views on YouTube. After that, he released another song called “Ndashima” but it was viewed by only one million people. .
So now people are wondering why this artist released another song in Swahili. Umurava News did not manage to talk to this artist but we used the journalist’s eye, We are doing an analysis to find out what is behind this.
On November 7, 2023, he released a song called “Nitaamini” which is also in Swahili, after there were other songs that preceded it in Kinyarwanda such as “Tugumane” and “Ndashima” so these are among these Swahili songs, more than 1 million views, but this new one “Nitaamini” reached 2 million views in just 12 days.
The music of this artist has expanded a lot, what we think is that this artist may have expanded in East Africa, but that is what continues to give him the strength to start releasing songs in other languages and now he is starting with Swahili.
In few words this language came like the one of the languages that are to be taught in East Africa like Three countries that uses that language which including Tanzania, Kenya and DR Congo which joined recently ,it’s not only that because it’s also taken as a language mostly used by many people in Africa
