It was the last concert to cover the “MTN IWACU MUZIKA FESTIVAL 2023” that have been crossing the Country in the different districts, And for today’s concert was set for Special “GAKONDO” Lovers to enjoy and value Rwandan Culture with young.
Reaching the BK Arena Hall before the Concert, you find that the stage and the house at large was decorated basing on the Culture and up to the artists that performed in the Concert were both basing on the Full culture presenting.
The concert did not start on the official announced time mostly because it was on Sunday the Holy day that people attend the church services and others were coming from far locations that come to be the challenge for time management.
The uniqueness in this concert that people recognized in the last night’s Concert is that it was also attended by the grand moms who love the Culture and Cecire Kayirebwa especially and had come to meet her after a long time not seeing her and it was her first time to perform in BK ARENA.
The concert attendance was normally dorminated by the youth who really wanted to spend their weekend enjoying and some of them really like these GAKONDO Styles and others came for the presents artists like Ruti Joel who usually has a big fan base.
The Concert was hosted by Basil UWIMANA who is known in RBA {Rwanda Broadcast Agency} as the MC and was really dressed traditionally as the night was basing on the Culture and tradtional artists and their songs.
Sophia NZAYISENGA who play traditional Instruments known as “Inanga” Was the the first to entertain people on the Stage and collaborated with Poet MUREKATETE Claudine who is popular in poems nowdays.
Sophia was followed by Inyamibwa traditional band in their traditional dances that began to the change people’s mood into high vibes, People danced to the fullest but targeting the popular artists like Cyusa Ibrahim, Ruti Joel and Cecile Kayirebwa.
The next Artist on the Stage was Cyusa Ibrahim who really changed everything in house, Now this time everthing seems to start over as he sang his popular hit song and people stand up to dance without any challenge because it was allowed.
After changing the mood for the crowd by his high vibes songs, Cyusa had to say bye to the fans and was followed by “IBIHAME BY’IMANA” Traditional band who also made people dance landomly and people reminded how to dance in Rwandan culture “Amaraba” and really enjoyed it for sure.
As people were screaming out by his name, the Next Artist to the Stage was Ruti Joel who entered with claps and made an amazing Stage because he was having the big part of the crowds in the house as many were the young people who like him and his music in general.
Ruti’s stage started very slow but coming up to increase the Vibes as he was performing the requested songs by the Fans, This time the Kigali BK ARENA was now on the Move because people were now entering in the show as they were waiting for the big Artists.
After Ruti’s history on the Stage there have been taken one minute to honor the later “Inganzo Ngari’s Member “Allan NZEYIMANA who was in foundation of “Inganzo Ngari” and was given some minutes to showup their traditional Dances including “Igishakamba, Guhamiriza and Amaraba”
After wards Basil UWIMANA was forced to call up on the Stage the grand Stars who were waited, So he has to call up on the stage Muyango whose songs were popular in last early years inluding “Sabizeze”, Karame Uwangabiye, Inganzo and so many others that people were requesting.
The right was waited for the most respected female Artist to come on the Stage, and many were waiting for and immediately go back to their homes and that’s how it happened after her 3 songs some were starting to move out out going home before her stage ends.
Mama Cecile Kayirebwa was the main great performer of the concert and she was humbly welcomed in the respect she deserve. Before she reach on the stage MC Basil recommended people to stand up and honor her by welcome her on the Stage. With her favourite popular Songs including “Umunezero”, Urubambye Ingwe, Ndare ngarara, Tarihinda, Iwacu and many others that made people to help her singing and dancing in Kinyarwanda cultures and she was trying to make them some stories in entertaining them. Mama Cecile Kayirebwa was the last Artist to close the Concert “MTN IWACU MUZIKA FESTIVAL 2023”.
