Some of our interviewees are of different ages and professions, but as they are not prepared, some of them do not understand how high school children are chosen as champions.
Jane is a 42-year-old mother who lives in Kigali city, but for her, she finds that voting for high school champions is one of the distractions for children.
Jane said, “I’ve heard for a while that they choose beautiful girls in high schools, but I think that they would be teaching children to be careless because they are still young and hot-blooded and start to misbehave because they are told that they are beautiful.”
Diane is a high school student, but for her, she thinks that choosing champions in schools doesn’t matter because it makes girls dare and start practicing to fulfill their responsibilities at a young age.
John is also one of the parents who discuss the selection of champions in schools and said: “I think that the Miss pageants should be held only in universities or outside of them for people who have reached the age of independence, although those in high schools should that is killing us young children”
This parent expressed his displeasure with these activities, and asked the Minister of Education to prosecute the leaders of the institutions that allow such activities for children who have not reached the age of majority, saying that they are looking for another activity of teaching assistants such as debates. and other entertainment that helps them relax.
Grace Kami is a university student, for her she thinks that voting for high school champions doesn’t matter, but the problem is that they are at school which prevents them from studying well in preparation and which encourages them to behave in a way that they don’t like to be seen as good. champion, this girl wants it to be on vacation.
