They are 6 pastors: Pastor Claude Djessa, Vuningoma Dieudonné, Kaberuka Pierre, Muya Richard, Mudakikwa Richard and Kukimunu Paul Daniel chased Dr Gitwaza, explaining that he continued to lead “their church” and they fired him in February 2022.
These pastors explained that the reason they fired Dr Gitwaza was that he “disobeyed its rules” and stole its property. These were filed in the High Court on November 1, 2023.
On November 24, the Gasabo court informed the petitioners that their complaint is baseless, because they expelled Dr Gitwaza from being members of Zion Temple, explaining to them that they destroyed it, and established another one called ‘World Revival Center Church.’
Zion Temple spokesperson, Tuyezre Jean Baptiste, told BBC Gahuza that the allegation was an attack by Satan. He said, “It is Satan who planted the church so that it is divided, and it is divided.” He also confirmed that these pastors have no right to sue Dr Gitwaza because they are no longer in this church.
Tuyizere continued asking these pastors that in the event that Dr. Gitwaza failed, they would like to return to Zion Temple, they will follow the prescribed procedures, and then they will be accepted. “The gates are open, we are ready to welcome you,” he said.
