The President of Poland, Andrzej Duda and his wife, Agata Duda, on Thursday, February 8, 2024, visited the Shrine of Our Lady on the Holy Land of Kibeho and the School for Visually Impaired Children located in Nyaruguru District .
At the Church of Our Lady, he and his wife who were with him took a moment to pray in the chapel of the Virgin Mary, and in the school for the visually impaired, they showed him the activities of the school which is busy and encouraging, and he took time to watch the games the children prepared for him.
In his speech, President Andrzej Duda confirmed that his country will continue to support the school for blind children and thanked the Rwandan administration for its role in the establishment of this school, assuring that Poland will continue to support it.
The Minister of Education, Twagirayezu Gaspard, praised this school as a sign that every child who is given documents, would have knowledge that will help him in his life, he appreciated the support that Poland provides and in education in general.
He emphasized that the Government of Rwanda continues to promote education for all without discrimination, Before visiting this school, the President of Poland and his wife first visited the Shrine of Our Lady in Kibeho.
President Andrzej and his wife Agata Duda were in Kigali from Tuesday where they ended their three-day working visit, which was aimed at improving relations between Rwanda and Poland, on Thursday, February 8.
