In a message sent by President Paul Kagame through the X, he said that he was patient with the family of Dr. Hage Geingob because he was his brother and his best friend.
He said, “I am sorry for my sister Monica Geingob, her whole family and the people in general for the death of my friend and my brother President Hage Geingob.
The death of President Hage Geingob was announced on Saturday night at 4:00 PM where he died at the Lady Pohamba Hospital in Windhoek where he was being treated by the doctors who were in charge of his care and he was suffering from Cancer as announced on 08 January 2024 .
Dr Hage Geingob was the President of Namibia from 2015 and from 1990 to 2002 he was the Prime Minister of Namibia, Hage Geingob died at the age of 82.
On Sunday the former Vice President of Namibia Nangolo Mbumba was sworn in to replace Dr Hage Geingob who passed away.
