The Janiya factory has launched new clothing to the Kigalians

Janiya manufactures a wide range of clothing for women, men and children and specializes in sewing materials such as silks, silks and more.

This factory was established as part of the Government’s ‘Made in Rwanda’ programme, which aims to promote domestic production.

The clothes that this company makes are based on the ideas of Rwandans about what they like and are designed according to the culture and history of Rwanda.

For more than five years, this garment factory has contributed to the development of the country and currently employs more than 300 people.

These workers are involved in the production of 2,000 clothes per day, which are sold all over the country, especially in the shops in Kigali and Musanze.

In continuing to contribute to the company, Janiya has opened a website on murandasi aimed at helping clothing retailers to do so digitally.

On this site, the merchant is given a place to put his clothes, and the buyer receives the money, and there is a way for those who don’t have capital, especially the youth, to trade.

On Friday, November 10, 2023, Janiya held a fashion event where they showcased different types of activewear and explained more about the website that is going to help retailers keep up with technology.

In an interview with IGIHE, Mukarwema Yvette said that this clothing was designed for Rwandans based on their preferences and abilities.

He said, “Our clothes have a special feature that makes them popular, including the low price, the second is that they are made by Rwandans, we follow what they like, what they wear, the latest trends and what Rwandans want to wear.”

“When you go to pay a debt in another country, you take it when the foreigners visit the people of that country, then when you go to buy a debt, you lose it because maybe they have short people, they don’t like us, or the colors are not liked by Rwandans, but we are close and we know that they love

He went on to say that they have put effort into creating a marketing platform to help the youth in social media.

He said, “Now we have the capacity to produce 2,000 garments a day, but selling them requires a lot of effort. We don’t do it alone, we need people to help us and they also find work in it.”

He said that this made them think about the youths who depend on social media because they have no job and find no income and they also have clothes and they have no way to advertise.

He continued, “We’re talking about how young people get jobs? If they go to the site, they will pay for it.”

At the event where Janiya clothing was shown, the company’s brand ambassador was announced, KC2 reporter Agasaro Tracy.
