The team led by Ariella Kageruka, Tourism and Ecosystem Conservation Officer at RDB is in Utrecht, Netherlands at the Vakantiebeurs Tourism Fair.
They are going to explain to those in this country and other Europeans who attended the good things in Rwanda that they can visit or invest in.
It is an exhibition attended by people from 100 countries around the world.
It is the first exhibition held in the Netherlands through the BeNeLux (Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg) which started on the 10th and will end on the 14th of January, 2024.
Since the resumption of international travel after the cessation of COVID-19 at a large scale, the Netherlands has resumed travel to Rwanda and tourism has increased to a rate of 75.3%.
Ariella Kageruka said: “We are happy to show the world what we do, where they can visit and invest. Rwandan investors are also happy to bring what they do to BeNeLux as a wide market in which we strive to showcase our country’s tourism.”
The previous exhibition was attended by 65,000 people and it is expected that 65% of those will return to attend this day.
The ambassador of Rwanda in the Netherlands, Olivier Nduhungirehe, says that Rwanda is expanding its tourism in various sectors, including the one on Lake Kivu, which is mainly based on cycling on the road that is full of water.
He says that this is something that comes to the Dutch because they can come to Rwanda to do tourism in the vicinity of Lake Kivu because they among the Europeans own bicycles more than others.
Some of the Rwandan companies or operating in Rwanda that accompanied the RDB management to go to the Netherlands to showcase their products are as follows: Wanderlux Safaris, Blue Monkey Tours, Palast Tours & Travels and RwandAir.
