Evangelist Nibishaka has been arrested for a few days, and when he was given a speech, he raised the Bible and swore, saying that the reason he is in court is because of the jealousy people who use YouTube have with themselves.

He said that he prays in the ADEPR Church in Gasave Parish and that it is a church based on the spirit of prophecy, so what he said was based on the prophecy he received from God.

He said that he used to preach in passenger cars where he met a journalist from Umusaraba TV, who asked him to do an interview.

As soon as he gave his first talk, others started calling him to give talks, but he turned them down, saying that they attracted criticism and jealousy.

He told the Court that what he was saying was a prophecy, especially that he had predicted Evangelist Apostre Yongwe that he might be imprisoned and it happened.

This evangelist who had a lot of knowledge explained that he went to YouTube to speak about this prophecy because that is where God had sent him.

He said, “God told me that this is where they work, this is where they moved their churches and that is where I should meet them.”

In many tears, he asked the court to be released and monitored outside because he was raising two children, one 9 years old and the other 6 years old and he had no wife to take care of them.

He then cried a lot and expressed that while he was imprisoned he did not know how they lived and that he did not know if they would go to school like others.

His lawyer told the Court that the Prosecution should link his actions with the crimes he is accused of because he did not commit a crime of causing public unrest.

He asked the court to order him to be monitored from outside because he would not cause a disturbance, he would stop the discussions on YouTube and continue evangelizing only in the church. He showed that the results of the investigation were not enough and he agreed to give the bail of his property.

Nibishaka told the Court that he is not running away from justice because he started a project to help unaccompanied children and is known to the National Police, so he will continue to do so even after his release.

After a long debate, the President of the Court closed the case, the decision will be read on February 9, 2024 at 8:00 p.m.
