In Rwanda Day last night in Washington DC, President Kagame told Rwandans and their friends that Rwanda faced a great danger that led to the Genocide against the Tutsis; and said that no one should believe that Rwanda will return to such a bad state.
He says that Rwanda’s good leadership is the right one and all that it achieves is determined by the combined efforts of its people.
President Kagame says that after the Genocide, Rwandans are confident and that what happened will not happen again
Rwandans have done extraordinary things and that gives them the opportunity to have the right direction, based on the journey they went through which was not easy but it did not stop them from going through it and now they are where they want to be.
In this Rwanda Day, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Rwanda, Dr. Vincent Biruta told the participants that Rwanda has opened its doors so that today it has many embassies in the world and is preparing to open the first one in South America which will be located in Brazil.
Starting from the year 2019 when there was the last Rwanda Day in Bonn, Germany, until the year 2024, Biruta says that Rwanda has opened eight Embassies in the four continents of the world.
Rwanda also has 47 embassies around the world, with 44 embassies of foreign countries working in Kigali; the last one to be abandoned is Guinea Conakry which was opened when the President of this country Mamadi Doumbouya was last in Rwanda.
Rwanda Day is being held in Washington DC in the United States and was attended by more than 6000 people including Rwandans and their friends.
