An evangelist and servant of God for a long time, Pastor Ezra Mpyisi had his last farewell before his burial.
This Saturday (Sabbath) in the UNILAKE University tents, the families, friends and relatives of Pastor Ezra Mpyisi gathered to celebrate the last life of Pastor Ezra Mpyisi who passed away on January 27, 2024. Since he passed away, in the Paromoma tent there were performances to celebrate the life of this mother until January 03 where it was celebrated for the last time in UNILAKE University, the school he founded in 1997.
This last evening to celebrate the life of Pastor Ezra Mpyisi was marked by the testimony of those who lived with him, mainly those who have been together since 1997 after he returned to Rwanda with peace. This evening it was also mentioned how this man loved everyone indiscriminately.
His son Gerard Mpyisi Said that before he died when he was sick in Kenya, he asked that if he dies, everyone who will bury him will receive a Bible and that since then he started buying Bibles and started giving them away and that he died after giving away 1300 Bibles.
Gerald Mpyisi said that his father started a project to give out Bibles, which he did not understand until he saw him start implementing it and he said that he would continue it now.
Pastor Ezra Mpyisi who was born on the 27th, was born on the 19th of February 1922, He was born in Nyanza in the South during the reign of King Yuhi 5 Musinga and he served in the National Council that advised King Mutara III Rudahigwa.
After King Rudahigwa gave up, Pastor Ezra Mpyisi became the adviser of Kigeli V Ndahindurwa who Succeeded him, This man in 1960 fled the country because of bad government, he returned in 1997.
