On Tuesday, February 10, 2024, the assistant of the President of the Republic, Jeannette Kagame, arrived in Namibia to join the assistant of the late President Hage G. Geingob, Monica Geingos and the country of Namibia at this time grief.

Mrs. Jeannette Kagame arrived in Namibia in the evening where photos posted on social media showed her hugging Mrs. Monica in order to confrot her back. The President of the Republic, Paul Kagame is one of the leaders who comforted Monica Geingos and Namibians in general, after the death of President Dr. Hage Geingob who died at the age of 82 in the early hours of Sunday, 04 January 2024.

The President of Rwanda Paul Kagame, through his social media, emphasized that the administration of President Hage G. Geingob was characterized by serving the people. “His leadership in the struggle for the liberation of Namibia, his tireless dedication to the service of his people, and his dedication to the United African Union, will always be remembered by generations to come.”

Nangolo Mbumba, the Vice President of Namibia, announced that Geingob died in the early hours of Sunday morning at the Lady Pohamba Hospital in the capital, Windhoek.
