One of the robbery suspects who were going to steal equipment from the Real Construction company, was shot and killed in Gahanga Sector in Kicukiro District.
It was confirmed by the Police Spokesman in Kigali City, SP Sylvestre Twajamahoro, who said that the young man was shot when he and those who were with him tried to beat the security guards, SP Sylvestre Twajamahoro said, “They wanted to beat them, one of them was shot, and the others ran away.”
The spokesperson of the Police in the city of Kigali also said that this is not the first time that the company has attempted to steal equipment, This young man was shot in the early hours of this Friday, January 19, 2024, around eight o’clock in the morning.
This construction company, Real Construction, currently has operations in Nyabigugu Village in Barija Ward in Gahanga Sector, SP Sylvestre Twajamahoro, took the opportunity to advise people who may face such problems of theft to immediately contact the Police.
He said, “We encourage them to have the phone numbers of their local authorities, especially the local stations, so that when they have a problem, they can provide information quickly.”
