Members of the RPF Inkotanyi in Mwijuto village in Niboye ward in Niboye sector in Kicukiro district are proud to have new members, after 62 have sworn to join the organization. It is an event that took place on Sunday March 31, 2024.
Dr. Rusagara Innocent, Chairman of RPF Inkotanyi in Mwijuto Village, says that it was a special day for them in that Village, He said: “After 30 years of the Genocide against the Tutsis, which was stopped by the Inkotanyi, we are proud that our children are among those who took the oath. The heads of the family brought their children, I brought four, and some of our co-leaders brought five.”
Eligible members are 18 years of age or older, Dr. Rusagara Innocent appreciates that more young people are joining the family because they give hope for a better future.
He said, “The son who swore today is stronger than me, he could even run. They are the ones I would call real members, that’s when we also went there, doing visible activities, that’s the number of people who freed the country, so it’s interesting.”
We ask that Marie Claire is one of those who swear by it, He says that the reason he decided to join the RPF Inkotanyi is because its activities in the development of the country are evident.
He said, “FPR found us here and saved us, made us who we are. I was an orphan, but he paid for our education, now I have graduated from University, I have a home and children. FPR, what do you think I am equal to?”
Dusabe says that he was already following the programs of the RPF Inkotanyi, but now he is going to participate more in all the activities of the RPF Inkotanyi.
Another person who took the oath is a 57-year-old doctor called Muneza Sévérien, who is one of the few adults who took the oath compared to others who were with him, mostly young people.
He said, “Having done it now as an adult, there are things that you first observe and then come to appreciate. So the past was an observation, now it’s time to appreciate, that’s why I decided to become a member. I have looked at the programs of the RPF Inkotanyi for a long time, and I find that its activities are often in line with my wishes.”
Among other things that the Village is proud to have achieved in the last 30 years, is the asphalt road they built, Nkeshimana Jimmy, a resident of Mwijuto who has been living there for almost 12 years, appreciates what the RPF Inkotanyi has conveyed to them.
He said, “When I was 12 years old, there was a forest, there was mud, and we left the cars around without being able to see how to get home. We are now building roads, repairing waterways that used to destroy our homes. Now we have street lights, it’s like we live in a direction.”
Uwanyirigira Adelphine, who is in charge of campaigning (PMM) in the RPF Inkotanyi community in Niboye, says that the act of swearing in new members is a good step to increase the membership of the RPF Inkotanyi, they have done such activities together, and elsewhere they are planning it in different villages that make up that A total of 15 cells.
This also gives them confidence that even in the upcoming elections for the President and the Deputies, the members will vote for their candidate and for the RPF Inkotanyi in large numbers.
