When he was addressing those who came to participate in a small conference on security in the region where Rwanda and the DRC are located, the President told them that his country is standing by and alert to anyone or anything that wants to disturb it.
He said: “Rwanda will not ask anyone for permission to protect security or to doubt it first.”
He says that the fact that it has lost nearly 1 million people in a short period of time means that no one will allow it to return in such circumstances, no matter where it comes from.
Kagame reminded his listeners that the problem of FDLR always wants to attack Rwanda and return it to the times of Genocide and the sad thing is that it was included in the DRC army.
On the other hand, President Kagame told other leaders that Rwanda is willing to work with all people who want and strive for a peaceful solution to the problems in the region.
In addition to the various leaders he met and discussed the development of Rwanda through cooperation, President Kagame presented to the leaders of the United African Union a report on what has been done in reforming its institutions and functions.
He managed to leave the responsibility to his colleague William Ruto who is leading Kenya.
Kagame left $400 million in the fund of this organization to help with peacekeeping activities around Africa.
This fund is called Africa Peace Fun.
