Japan gave Rwanda a 118 billion Frw loan

In order to help Rwanda improve the level of education in primary and secondary schools, the Government of Japan has lent 118 billion Frw.

It is money that will make it possible to install technology in primary and secondary schools and will pay for it in 40 years at an interest rate of 0.2%.

The main goal is that education is accessible to all and delivered through technology.

Minister of Finance and Planning Dr. Uzziel Ndagijimana says that Rwanda values ​​education because it is the basis of sustainable development for any country.
He says that working with Japan to improve education technology is something that will help Rwanda achieve its determined goal of improving education as one of the basic sectors that improve the economy.

The Japanese ambassador to Rwanda, Isao Fukushima, says that Japan does not often give loans to countries like this, but the fact that it was made in Rwanda is a sign that it values ​​Rwanda’s efforts in improving its education.

He says that education is not only beneficial to the economy but also helps a person to become a healthy person with a healthy lifestyle.
He said, “I hope that this loan will help Rwanda so that the people can get a fair education.”

Japan usually cooperates with Rwanda in various sectors including technology, building infrastructure, education, health and others.
