The Ministry of Infrastructure has announced that in the next few weeks the passenger will pay for the bus journey depending on the destination instead of paying for the whole trip to the destination.
These measures are aimed at helping Rwandans not to be burdened by the cost of travel when the Government will have stopped the “nkungarine” that was paying the traveller.
Minister of Infrastructure Dr. Jimmy Gasore also said that in March, 2024, there will be another 100 buses that will have arrived in Kigali City and other similar ones also arrived in January.
The government says that all this was done in order to help Rwandans travel in the city of Kigali and elsewhere in the province safely, cheaply and without delays.
Meanwhile, as of Monday, February 12, 2024, the price of gasoline at the pump has been reduced by Frw 2 and that of mazout has been reduced by Frw 3.
Minister Dr. The guy says that although one might think that the amount is low, but it is a decision made by the Government to prevent the price from rising.
He said that it is intended that the price that people have been paying for two months would be the one they keep.
