Bassirou Diomaye Faye was declared the clear winner of the presidential election in Senegal. His rival, Amadou Ba, immediately congratulated him on his victory.
He replaces Macky Sall who had been leading this country for more than 10 years, which is one of the most powerful democracies in Africa.
Diomaye Faye’s victory is the first modern candidate of the opposition to the Government which was already leading in the first round of the elections.
The fact that his opponent immediately congratulated him on his victory made the suspicion that there would be any unrest, reduced.

He asked President Putin to take into account the importance of Africa to Russia and the world in general, so he said that it would be better to keep it in mind and not abandon it in various problems.
He will also be remembered for having built many infrastructures including railways, airports, stadiums, hospitals and more.
On the other hand, the new president of Senegal also has a big job to help young people get jobs because 75% of the population is under 35 years old.
Diomaye Faye must work so that the projects his country started during the time of his predecessor continue.
