The U.S. Embassy has released the deaths of eight American men who were killed in Medellin, Colombia after going to see their girlfriends from the dating site Tinder.
It is said that the Colombians take care of these foreigners, they go to visit them and give them drugs and some of them kill them or kill them.
A 28-year-old businessman from the United States said: “I met a girl on Tinder. I thought, ‘I’ve found another girl. I’ve found another one to flirt with.'” This happened in 2021.
After dinner with the girl he visited, the businessman remembers that they went back to his house to drink, he felt different than usual, and then he remembers the last time they kissed. He woke up the next day at noon, not feeling well and unable to walk.
“She took [the girl] my iPad, my phone, my coffee, my bank cards, my ID. She took everything but my computer,” he continued.
The U.S. Embassy said it is investigating the deaths of eight Americans killed in the city of Medellin between November 1 and December 31, 2023, most of which occurred through the use of dating sites.
“Many Colombian Americans are drugged, robbed, and even killed by prostitutes here in Colombia,” says a travel consultant.
Asian-American comedian Tou Ger Xiong, 50, was kidnapped after meeting a woman he met online in December, prosecutors said in one case.
The kidnappers called his friend in the US and demanded $2,000. The kidnapper was later found dead from “injuries caused by an unknown object.”
They say that when they want to rob you, they give you a powdered drug called Scopolamine that makes you look like a zombie, makes you dizzy and kills you.
