A Congolese soldier was shot in Rwanda, two of his comrades were caught with marijuana.

The Rwanda Defense Forces (RDF) announced that there were three soldiers of the army of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, FARDC, who entered Rwanda with weapons, two of them were arrested, and another one was shot while protesting against the security forces.

This incidence was announced this on the morning of Tuesday, January 16, 2024. The RDF announcement, which says that at around 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, the FARDC soldiers entered Rwanda they entered the border, they immediately went to Rubavu District, Rubavu Sector, Ruboko Cell, Isangano Village.

RDF continues to say that two of these soldiers, Sgt Asman Mupenda Termite, 30 years old and Cpl Anyasaka Nkoi Lucien, 28 years old, were arrested and another was shot and that no Rwandan was injured, but the investigation is still ongoing.

The RDF announcement continues to say that the soldiers were captured with AK47 rifles, one magazine containing 105 bullets and cannabis pellets.
