Rwanda Gospel Star Live : Rubavu has shown that is one of the many talents to watch out for.

On March 30, the “Rwanda Gospel Stars Live season 2” competition continued in the Rubavu region of the Western province where talents in worship and praise music were chosen to compete for this year’s awards.

It is a competition attended by various young and talented young talents, where about 33 passed in front of the judging panel, which consisted of Mike Karangwa, Nelson Mucyo and Umurerwa Mediatrice, RBA correspondent at Rubavu branch.

At around 8 o’clock the contestants started to show their talents and the top 10 went on to the next round.

Most of the contestants said that their main goal if they won this competition is that it would help them to make their songs, so that the gospel could reach more people.

The qualifiers for the Ka Rubavu district left; Hategekimana Justin, Niyigena Aline, Irakoze Tresor, Muhorakee Queen, Irikumwenatwe Schadrack, Uwitugabie Divine, Niyigena Germaine, Abayo Herthier, Ishimwe Bernice, Mahirwe Evariste.
This tournament will continue on April 20, in Southern Province, Huye District.

Each District will provide candidates who will meet in private, before the top three are selected.

It is planned that the first one will be paid 3 million Frw and will be extended a one-year contract to help in the field of music.

The second will receive 2 million Frw while the third will be paid 1 million Frw.

The first three will be given one song each, and they will sing it at a celebration event scheduled for August 2024.

The Rwanda Gospel Stars Live competition that started in 2022 brings together various artists including Israel Mbonyi who won and received 7 million Frw.

Aline Gahongayire came second with 2 million Frw, Gisubizo Ministries came third with 1 million Frw while Rasta Jay was awarded 500 thousand Frw as a rising artist.

For the second time, the competition has changed its focus as it has gone from celebrity to helping young talents find their place in their communities.
