President Kagame welcomed three new ambassadors from differents states.

On the afternoon of Tuesday, March 26, 2024, President Paul Kagame received papers authorizing three new ambassadors to represent their countries in Rwanda.

It was a ceremony held at the office of the Head of State, Village Urugwiro, according to Village Urugwiro’s X website, Ambassadors were welcomed, including Nermine Mohamed Essam Eldin Elshafie El Zawahry of Egypt, Julie Crowley of Canada and Janet Mwawasi Oben, representing Kenya.

They presented the President with the documents allowing them to represent their countries in Rwanda, and discussed various topics focused on further expanding the relationship between their countries and Rwanda.

Rwanda and Egypt have regular relations and cooperation in various fields, including health, trade, education, agriculture, energy and medicine.

These actions are rooted in more than 46 years, the two countries have been working together for the benefit of the people, For example, in business, Egyptians invest in Rwanda where every year they organize an exhibition of the products of their industry in Rwanda called ‘Egyptian Expo’.

It is at a time when Rwanda is exporting agricultural products such as tea, vegetables, pineapples and nuts to Egypt.

Rwanda and Egypt also have an agreement in health, where they signed an agreement to build a center that will be treated for heart diseases, and where research will be conducted in Masaka in Kicukiro District.

On the other hand, Rwanda and Canada cooperate in various ways, including environmental protection, peacekeeping, trade and investment.

Rwanda and Kenya, as neighboring countries, have a good relationship that continues to expand, where the Kenyan Government recently thanked Rwanda for the help it has shown in expanding the operation of the port of Mombasa and Naivasha.
