Here are the opportunities for technical school graduates in the Rwandan military

The Directorate of the Rwandan Armed Forces (RDF) has released an announcement calling for those who wish to study at the Military College after completing technical courses, and what they must meet.

This is according to a statement released by the Rwanda Defense Forces, on Thursday March 01, 2024, signed by the Chief of Staff in the RDF.
This announcement begins by notifying “Rwandans studying in Technical Secondary Schools (TSS) who wish to join the Military College, that they can also register at Regions and Sectors,” stating that registration will start from 01 to 12 March 2024.

This announcement shows the requirements for those who want to study at the Military College, and the departments they attend in this school such as Computer Engineering, where they must have at least 45 points in the departments of Software development-SOD, Software Programming and Embedded Systems-SPE and Networking- NET.

As for those who wish to study Mechanical Engineering, they must also have at least 45 points, in the TVET Department of Mechanical Production Technology-MPT.

The announcement goes on to say that “those invited are young men and women” who must be Rwandans, be 18 years old and not over 21, and have completed six high schools, and that those who pass the entrance exam will take the exam that will allow them to study at the University of Rwanda.
They must also have “good health, not having been convicted of a crime, not being prosecuted for a crime, not having been permanently fired from a job in the public administration unless you have been subjected to impeachment,…”

This announcement comes two weeks after the RDF issued another call for aspirants to study in various branches of science such as General Medicine, which started registration from February 13 to March 11, 2024.
