The Ministry of Education has joined the victims of the accident that happened at the TSS EAV Rushashi school in Gakenke district where a student lost his life.
It is in a message posted on the X website of the Ministry of Education, which says, “We are saddened by the death of a 5th year student at EAV Rushashi in Gakenke District who was killed by a fire that broke out in the students’ dormitory. Our condolences to his family, relatives, friends and the wider EAV Rushashi family. The ministry remains close.”

The Mayor of Gakenke MUKANDAYISENGA vestine confirmed that one child died in the fire that broke out in the room, another child who may have broken his back was taken to Ruli Hospital for medical attention.
