The Office of the Secretary of State in America, said that in the talks Antony J. Blinken had with President Paul Kagame, they talked about how the problems between Congo and Rwanda could be solved through peace.

A short announcement posted on the website of the US State Department, says that Blinken met with President Paul Kagame at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, The statement says, “They discussed how to increase efforts to reduce the bad atmosphere in Eastern Congo. The US Secretary of State has expressed the need for each side to take steps to solve the problem.

On Rwanda’s side, through X, the former Twitter handle, the President’s office said that President Paul Kagame spoke with the American Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, about the current cooperation aimed at achieving lasting peace in the region, and resolving the problems you know cause war.

This meeting followed the visit of the Director of Intelligence in America, Mrs. Avril Haines, to Rwanda in November this year. In Davos, in addition to President Paul Kagame meeting with various leaders, he is one of those who addressed the meeting.
