In his message, he said that what happened in Rwanda should make the whole world stand up and oppose the words that devalue humanity and fuel divisions.
The King arrived in Rwanda this Sunday, January 07, for a three-day visit, where he was received by President Kagame and held talks.
After bowing to the victims of the Genocide, he said: “What Rwanda has decided teaches us that we must fight against the values of humanity which are the ones that create divisions. The history you have gone through is a lesson for all of us.”
Jordan’s King Abdullah II, after visiting the Kigali Genocide Memorial, wrote in the guest book: “The Kigali Genocide Memorial is a reminder of a sad part of Rwanda’s history and a great lesson for the people. It is a proof of dedication of this country in the unity of Rwandans.
He said that what happened in Rwanda is a lesson for the world today, which takes measures to resolve conflicts instead of condoning or supporting them.
He gave the example of the days-long war in Gaza, where more than 30,000 people have died, mostly women and children.
King Abdullah II said that the world needs to take action and find a solution before the water overflows its banks.
He said, “More children have died in Gaza than in any other conflict in the world last year. The lucky ones who survive, who have lost one or both parents, are the generation of orphans we are going to have.”
“Unless a two-state solution is found, the world will continue to pay a heavy price for failing to resolve this conflict.”
After the talks that President Kagame had with King Abdullah II, which was followed by other members of the Government on both sides, there was a ceremony to sign the cooperation agreement.
The signed agreement is related to the prevention of double taxation of goods from one country to another, cooperation in agriculture, trade and economy and cooperation in the field of health and medicine.
In addition to other bilateral relations between the two countries, he is involved in the exchange of political views in order to strengthen cooperation in trade and investment, tourism and agriculture.
